Alexander Mackenzie (1923 - 2002)

Alexander was born in Liverpool and studied at Liverpool College of Art. After graduating he moved to Cornwall where he established close relationships with many artists including Ben Nicholson and Barbara Hepworth.

He taught at Lescudjack School in Penzance and then went on to become head of fine art at Plymouth College of Art.

He was a member of the St.Ives School.
