Mani Annie Art (Ongoing)
Artworks | Biography
Following an Art Foundation course at Lincoln College of Art Mani studied Illustration at UWE Bristol and then transferred to Edinburgh College of Art where she graduated in 1997 with a BA (Hons ) in Visual Communication.
The day to day sights that she sees on the school run often inspires her paintings, cycling through the higgledy – piggledy streets that Mani loves and the charming buildings and quirky characters that she sees. Mani also loves nature, a beautiful pair of spotty wellingtons or a stripy scarf!
Sitting at her living room table she turns her simple sketchbook doodles into cheerful paintings, Mani likes to use acrylic paint combining a muted palette of chalky blues, greys and whites with an uplifting dash of red.
Mani’s wish is to capture a quiet moment that makes people smile.
